About the Teacher

  - - - Hello there! - - -

My name is Danielle Gray, and I am proud to be your child's second grade teacher this year!  This is my second year at Berkley Community School, but my sixth year teaching second grade.

I grew up in Rehoboth and now live in Taunton with my husband Jon and our two cats - Finley and Benji.  These kitties are the loves of our lives and I tell my students daily stories about their silly feline antics.

I graduated from Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School in 2011, from Stonehill College in 2015, and from Lesley University (with my masters in Language & Literacy) in February 2019.

My teaching style is reflective of my personality.  I would consider my classroom environment to be very warm, engaging, structured, loving, and empathetic.  I highly value social-emotional learning because taking care of students' hearts must come before academic learning.  There is no other way for a child to be successful.

Additionally, I pride myself on my parent involvement.  I love having parent volunteers in my classroom, as well as parent guests to various academic celebrations.  We will, of course, hold off on this until it is safe to do so.  I stay in touch with my parents consistently via emails as well as weekly website updates.  Stay tuned!

If you have any questions at all, you can reach out at dgray@berkleypublicschools.org.  Looking forward to a fabulous and memorable year!
